Let’s find what’s right for your family, your season, and your story.

You know it’s time to book family photos — maybe it’s been a while, or maybe you’re finally ready to be in the pictures with your people this year. But now comes the big question:

Do we book a mini session or a full session?

Friend, I get it. As a mama, photographer, and someone who’s been in your shoes (yes, even the overwhelmed “what do we wear?” ones), I want to help you choose the session that fits your family best — your rhythms, your budget, and the moments you want to hold onto forever.

✨ What’s a Mini Session?

Mini sessions are short and sweet — typically around 15 to 20 minutes long. They're offered on specific dates, often back-to-back with other families at one pre-selected location.

Best for:

Families with young kids who do best with short attention spans

Holiday cards or milestone updates

A quick refresh of family portraits without the full investment

What you’ll love:

A lower price point

Just enough time to capture a handful of great smiles

Easy, no-stress scheduling if you're short on time

Keep in mind:

Minis are limited in time, flexibility, and location options

There’s less time for candids, outfit changes, or shy kiddos to warm up

✨ What’s a Full Session?

Full sessions are one hour long, designed with your family’s unique personality, pace, and story in mind. These sessions offer more time, more flexibility, and a much deeper experience.

Best for:

Families wanting both posed + candid moments

Sessions at a meaningful location (like your home or a favorite park)

Kids who need time to warm up

Capturing connection — not just smiles

What you’ll love:

A slower, more relaxed pace

Time for outfit or location changes (if you’d like)

A deeper gallery with storytelling images you’ll treasure for decades

Keep in mind:

Full sessions are a bigger investment, but the value runs deep

You’ll get more images and moments that feel personal to your family

So Which Is Right for You?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here — only what fits you. If you’re looking for something quick and simple with a handful of great shots, a mini might be perfect.

But if you want to capture real laughter, hugs, games, and the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms right now — then a full session is your best choice.

From My Heart to Yours

At the end of the day, whether you choose a mini or a full session, my prayer is the same:

That you feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

That these photos remind you of God’s goodness in this season — however messy or beautiful it may be.

If you’re still unsure, reach out! I’m happy to help guide you toward the best option for your family’s needs.

With grace & gratitude,

Lexy
